Last updated: June 25, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to ShotDoc. This document combines our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. “We/Us/Our” means ShotDoc App Corp. Contact: support@shotdocapp.com. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

ShotDoc helps basketball players analyze their jump shot. You record yourself shooting, and the app measures your shot mechanics and provides feedback, training plans, insights, and AI-assisted coaching.

3. Information We Collect

We do not collect location data, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

4. How We Use Your Information

5. On-Device Processing

Shot, ball, and pose detection run on your device using on-device machine learning (Apple Core ML). Raw pose data (joint positions and angles) is processed on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. Only your recorded videos and the derived performance metrics are stored in your account.

6. Face Data

Your training videos may include your face. ShotDoc does not perform facial recognition, identification, or biometric analysis, and it does not track or match faces. Body-pose detection runs on your device and is used only to analyze your shot. We do not create or store facial or biometric templates, and we never send your videos or images to any AI provider.

7. AI Coach

When you use the AI Coach, your chat messages and relevant training metrics (text only) are sent to a third-party AI provider (DeepSeek) to generate written coaching suggestions. We do not send your videos, images, name, or email to the AI provider. This data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. AI-generated suggestions are informational only.

8. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data only as needed to operate the app. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account information and training data for as long as your account is active. Performance history and related training data are retained for up to 365 days for the purpose of long-term progress tracking and insights; older data may be removed automatically. When you delete your account, your profile, videos, sessions, and related data are removed. We may retain limited information where required to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes.

10. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. You can delete your account from within the app, which removes your profile, videos, sessions, and related data. You may also contact us at the email below.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to certain processing. Our legal basis for processing is your consent and the performance of our service to you. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account or contacting us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the app lawfully and to respect the privacy of others when recording, including obtaining consent where required. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

12. Intellectual Property

The app, including its software, design, and content provided by us, is owned by ShotDoc App Corp. and its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the videos and content you create. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the service described in this document.

13. Subscriptions and Payments

ShotDoc does not require a subscription, and you can access all features for now. Certain features may be offered through paid subscriptions in the future. Where applicable, subscriptions are billed through your Apple account, and pricing, billing frequency, and renewal terms will be presented before purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Apple’s standard terms govern payment processing, refunds, and renewals.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these terms or use the app unlawfully. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

15. Physical Activity Disclaimer

Ensure a safe environment, adequate space, and awareness of your surroundings when recording. ShotDoc is not responsible for any injury that may occur.

16. Accuracy Disclaimer

Metrics and AI-generated suggestions are estimates based on machine-learning analysis and are not guaranteed to be accurate. They are not medical, health, or professional training advice.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShotDoc is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

18. Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

19. Children’s Privacy

ShotDoc is intended for users aged 13 and older and is designed for basketball players, including college athletes. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Where a higher minimum age applies under local law (for example, certain jurisdictions under the GDPR), that higher age applies.

20. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app means acceptance.
